Tour Packages Asheville, NC

Asheville is the kind of place that lingers sweetly in your mind and memories for years to come. The city's rich architectural legacy with a mix of Art Deco, Beaux Arts and Neoclassical styles is the perfect retro-urban backdrop to the edgy energy that emanates from the locally owned shops and art galleries, distinctive restaurants and exciting entertainment venues. Know as an art colony, a healing resort and home to notable luminaries, statesmen and bohemians Asheville is one of America's most welcoming and vibrant cities. The city prides itself on a fascinating Appalachian past. While many cities underwent major overhauls in the past decades, Asheville's historic and architecturally diverse downtown remains beautifully preserved.

A visit to the Biltmore will show you the estate that Mr. Vanderbilt created as an escape from everyday life. Today his descendants invite you to enjoy his legacy of hospitality. Enjoy the breathtaking Biltmore House and Gardens, the Winery, Antler Village, The Biltmore Legacy Green and Farm.

The trip to Asheville would not be complete without a stop at the Folk Art Center which is home to the Southern Highland Craft Guild. The center showcases the finest in traditional and contemporary crafts of the Southern Appalachians. There are daily craft demonstrations by area artisans. Before departing the area you must stop at the Western Carolina Farmers Market for some of the finest jams and jellies, fresh fruits and vegetables or seasonal decorations. Lunch at The Moose Cafe, which has been featured in Southern Living Magazine, will be your final stop.

Loose yourself in the block-long Groove Arcade, a shopping and dining destination in one location. Built as a planned community in the late 1890s. Enjoy the many galleries and coffee shops in Historic Biltmore Village. Dinner this evening will be at Frankie Bones, inspired by the early 50's & 60's when there was a carefree lifestyle in America, the rat pack rulled and swanky was the lifestyle.

Head to Dillsboro for a scenic ride on the Great Smokey Mountains Railroad. You’ll travel past fertile valleys, through tunnels, across river gorges and even see where the great train wreck of The Fugitive was filmed. Enjoy lunch at the historic Jarrett House. Since 1884 the historic Jarrett House Inn and Restaurant has continuously accommodated guests, who first arrived by train and now by highway, with regional cuisine – be sure to sample the vinegar pie! Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the area as you return to your hotel. Dinner at Province.

This morning travel southeast of Asheville to Chimney Rock Park. Enjoy the 75 mile views from the top of the 500 million year old rock. A stroll will take you to Hickory Nut Falls, a 404 foot waterfall. Next stop is Lake Lure, a beautiful mountain lake with 27 miles of shoreline. The lake provided the perfect location for the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing. After enjoying the beauty of nature, settle down to a picnic lunch before departing for home.
