Myrtle Beach Base Package

Regardless of where you are headed, you'll want to find time to visit the “Grand Strand.” Along this glorious stretch of coastline, you will find wonderful opportunities. Beaches are endless, shopping is plentiful and attractions are unlimited in the “Entertainment Capital of the East Coast.”

With historic sites, fragrant gardens and vineyards, over 120 golf courses and SHOWS, SHOWS, SHOWS, the fun and excitement are nonstop. Roam for hours at Brookgreen gardens, enjoying over 500 pieces of inspiring sculpture amidst a nature reserve carved out of four former rice plantations. Great small towns are just a short drive away. Conway, Pawley’s Island and Georgetown are places to visit. In Georgetown, experience the charming setting that recalls the town’s rich antebellum past.

Meet & Greet at the hotel. Dinner this evening at T-Bones. Sit back and be entertained at the Carolina Opry, the original and still “The Grandest of the Grand Strand shows” (Detroit Free Press). The show is two hours of high-voltage entertainment that blends comedy and dancing with everything from rock’n roll, Broadway and country to classic hits, pop melodies and gospel.

Day 2:Tour the Grand Strand from Myrtle Beach to Pawley’s Island. Those, who treasure the beauty and grandeur of bygone days, will delight in hearing the stories of the area’s plantations and magnificent gardens, including the largest sculpture garden in the United States. Lunch will be on own at Pawley’s Island with free time to explore the many unique shops in the area. This is the home of the famous Pawley’s Hammocks. Return to the hotel to relax and enjoy your beach front hotel. Dinner this evening will be at the Giant Crab Seafood Buffet. Entertainment at the Alabama Theatre, voted #1 by Myrtle Beach visitors, “One” the show is high energy musical variety, featuring America’s favorite music.

Day 3: After checking out of the hotel, visit Broadway at the Beach home of Ripley’s Aquarium, South Carolina’s most visited attraction that displays thousands of marine animals. Featuring a 330 foot underwater glide path; guests come face to face with giant sharks, also featuring hourly dive shows, educational seminars and low touch tanks. Lunch on your own at any of the restaurants at Broadway at the Beach and depart for home.

North Carolina is known as “Hollywood East,” and Wilmington the anchor for the thriving movie industry in the state, is often referred to as “Wilmywood.” As you visit the area, keep your eyes open! You never know who might be sitting next to you in a restaurant or passing you on the street. Weekend visitors can put on their walking shoes and visit Screen Gem Studios, the largest film production facility outside of Los Angeles. Even if you don’t come with stars in your eyes…..you just might leave with them!

Tour part of the 230+ block Wilmington Historic District, one of the largest in the U.S., and learn of the colorful characters and historic events dating back to the 1700’s. Visit the Bellamy Mansion of Museum of History and Design Arts. Evening Dinner Cruise and enjoy the sunset.

From the coast to the country….Travel a little north of Wilmington to Buckner Hill Plantation. If it looks vaguely familiar, that’s because you have seen it on the big screen. The handsome mansion constructed around 1855, stars in the hit movie, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. Then stop for lunch at The Country Squire Restaurant and Winery. After lunch at Liberty Hall Plantation, a fine example of agrarian life during the 1800’s. No trip would be complete without a fun stop at the small, taste-savoring Mennonite bakery called the Bulk & More. Everything is sold in bulk sizes flours, grains, candies, spices, pastas, nuts and a complete line of baking items. As you circle back into Wilmington, visit Equine Country, 20 acres of green pastures and wooded trails where you can enjoy a trailed carriage ride. End the day at Mike’s Farm Strawberry Patch and Country Store.
